Personal Statement
I envision my college career on and off the field to be full of personal growth, learning and success. I plan to major in one of the sciences or mathematics. I have been playing soccer for my current club, SC Wave (formerly SC Waukesha) since I was 3 years old. I am honored to have fantastic teammates as well as an amazing coach. We are the 2019 USYS U-15 National Champions as well as 2X National League Division Champions, 3X Midwest Conference Premier 1 Champions, and 5X Wisconsin State Cup Champions! Our coach, Giuliano Oliviero, was the 2019 USYS National Girls' Competitive Coach of the Year. I am looking forward to competing in the new Girls Academy league. On the soccer field, I pride myself on my field IQ and my field vision. My job as a defender is to stop attacks but I also excel in possession and precision passing. In addition, I am hard working who as an outside defender is willing to make those runs and overlaps into the attacking half as well as be active in support or as an outlet for my teammates. I am very coachable and I will always play with heart and be respectful of my teammates, opponents, coaches and referees.
In the classroom, I am a straight A student who excels in academics and I prefer to take advanced and challenging courses. Furthermore, I find time to be active in a variety of other activities such as student government, orchestra, math team, tutoring, basketball, and honor societies. I also am involved in my church's christian formation program and I volunteer at multiple church and school functions such as trivia contests and fundraisers.
I am looking for a university that has high academic standards, opportunities to volunteer, and a soccer program that is both respected and competitive.
