Personal Statement
I get asked periodically to define my approach to baseball: I answer, “wherever I can contribute to make my team better”. I am a true utility player: effective both in a defensive fielding position; as a pitcher, or on the offense batting. My coaches value most my aptitude and versatility while trusting my instincts and reliability in any game time situation.
I am a focused athlete and high achieving academic student with goals of pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering and Aviation while continuing to grow as college baseball player at a Division 1, 2 or 3 school. I finished my JV high school season in 2021 with an ERA of 0.33
My coaches and team mates would probably say, if you asked them, that I am a dependable team player who sets a leadership example in the dugout. My focus and dedication to practice and training is year round.
On the mound, my specialty has been entering in to get out of a jam with a few pitches (popup/ground ball). I can command a pitch to any location with consistency. Nothing distracts me; I am focused and confident in my abilities and can be relied on to get the job done. Off the field, I pride myself in working hard and striving to do my best in everything I do.
My goal is to one day work for a company such as Space X or Lockheed Martin; I think my extreme focus in academics has helped me become the laser focused player I am today.
I will be a tremendous asset to a collegiate baseball program. My competitive nature in sports and academics complement each other. I am very coachable; my knowledge of the game is just as important as my speed, strength, and agility. I have crafted my game focusing on hard work, discipline, and intellect and I continue building on my strong baseball fundamentals to get the job done both on and off the field.
