Robert Pollman '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Robby. I am in the class of 2020. I am a 6.’1 165 lbs. I am a LEFT handed Pitcher and First Baseman who bats right handed. Over the years I acquired back to back State Championships in Cal Ripken, I was the starting pitcher and first baseman. In High school I have been a varsity starter pitching and playing first base. This started my Freshman year. I have played Babe Ruth and Legion too. I have been honored with Second Team All Conference 2019, Team high batting average .400 (WIAA) and .500 for Legion, Team high RBI’s and Pitcher of the Year. I am proud that I pitched a no-hitter and  pitched 12 strike outs in that game. I currently throw a 2-seam, 4-seam, change up and a curve ball. My current grade point average is a 3.2.

I cannot remember a time when I wasn’t involved in baseball in some capacity.  Every summer I was playing on traveling teams, attending camps, trainings and tournaments. In seventh grade I relinquished soccer and and football to focus on Middle School and High School Baseball.I worked hard on perfecting my skills on and off the mound/field.and traveling teams, I progressed to a higher level of competition and I developed a strong teamwork ethic.  I am now looking to play collegiate baseball. As a Freshman, I would like to find a team that I could make an immediate impact on.  I would like to find a college with a great reputation in the area of Business. My family owns and operates nine successful businesses. I worked in maintenance and production for the past four years. I found I have an interest in our families corporation. Beyond baseball, I would like to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with the emphasis being “Organizational Management and Leadership”. I would like to continue on with an MBA with the plan of becoming the CEO for our family corporation.

I am looking for a school that fits me academically and athletically. I choose to be teachable, accountable and disciplined. I am dedicated, ambidextrous and agile, aggressive, and focused.   I  play with a “team first” mind set and spirit! I know your Team would benefit from my skills and mind set.  I just pitched the first four innings of our 2019 season opener and had 5 strikeouts, I am looking forward to a productive 2019 season.
