Alexis Varner '25 Recruiting Profile

From the start of youth league cheer I could never get away from poms, chants, & uniforms. Cheer has changed my life tremendously, and I thank God for bringing me this far in a sport that I didn’t think I would cherish. Cheer is apart of my testimony that’s quite not finished. Coming from being the longest running black cheerleader out of so many years in Jemison High School, I had no other choice but to wake up and go hard everyday. I didn’t realize that I was making history for my community, for girls of color. Furthering my 4 years in collegiate cheer, will be a big opportunity for me. I have a community that’s depending on me, and im not willing to let them down. This is what makes me a great candidate for the team!
