Personal Statement

My name is Jacob Mojica. I am 16 years old and am a senior at Palo Verde High School. This will be my second year of cheer but my hard work and dedication during my first year really paid off. I received a varsity captain position, an All American award, and a staff invitation to join the USA cheerleader team.

Although this is only my second year I have 8 years dance and acrobatic experience that I have used throughout my 2 years of cheer.

Recently, I attended my school’s cheer camp where I was hand selected to cheer in London’s New Year’s parade. I hope to continue cheer. I believe I have a real talent and passion for it.

ActivitiesI was vice president, treasure, and song leader for my 4-H club. I am the varsity cheer captain of this year's cheer squad. I am on the Linda Faulkner company dance team. I was also in national honors society for one year. This year I’m in the journalism club as well as the culinary club. I have community service hours by participating in our local cancer walk, city clean-ups, and food drives. Finally, I take 5 dance classes a week.
