Brooklynn Filstrup '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi! I’m Brooklynn Filstrup and I am currently in my junior year at Angelo Rodriguez High School in Fairfield, Ca. While I have only been doing competitive cheerleading since February this year, I am a fast learner and I made my schools varsity team my first time trying out last May. My background in various forms of dance, as well as figure skating, make it easy for me to learn new things quickly, such as halftime routines or stunt sequences. I pride myself in that I enjoy the criticism of my coaches and fellow athletes, as it allows me to address the issue and learn from it. I am really looking into cheerleading as a pathway in college as I genuinely love the sport and I believe that with the proper training and support system I could pursue that as well as a career in the sciences. Throughout my high school career I have been in honors and advanced placement classes where I seem to thrive. In the end I am really looking forward to seeing where cheerleading takes me in college and how far I can advance before my time to go to college is here.
