Alyssa Hunter '27 Recruiting Profile

Hello, 

My name is Alyssa Hunter. I started Allstar Cheer at 4 years old with the Cheer Sport Sharks. In 2022, I competed on Team Canada at the ICU World Championships in Orlando, Florida (we took Silver)! I competed as a Junior Level 4 All-Star base and back spot in Canada.

In relocating to Florida, I was placed Elite Junior Level 3 at Top Gun Allstars SWFL. I am a confident back spot and base - with experience currently up to Level 4.  My current tumbling covers all Elite Level 4 skills except for my whip. I am coachable, energetic, and eager to improve. 

As a Freshman, I skipped over Junior Varsity and went straight to Varsity Football Cheer - even receiving my varsity letter! I am also a part of my high school's travel and comp team.

I am also a strong student with a solid work ethic. I am working through the AICE and Honors diploma, and ended Term 2 of my Freshman year with a weighted GPA of 4.4.  

As for future ambitions, I am currently leaning toward a Philosophy degree - as I LOVE deep and challenging thinking, the study of ethics, and trying to find answers to questions that don't seem to have answers.  I am uncertain what I will do with my degree at this time - but I like knowing that it opens doors to many career paths - business, law, medicine, and more.
