Hi, my name is Hannah Cavazos. I'm currently a senior at Liberty High School in Henderson, Nevada. I am originally from Tyler, Texas. I have a huge passion for cheerleading. I love everything about it, from the memories made with my team, to the hardships that lead to success. I would say my best asset when it comes cheerleading is tumbling. I am also captain of tumbling on my school cheer team. Although I've never done club/all-star cheer, I am on a competition team with my school. Besides that, I love the atmosphere of cheering on the sidelines, wether its basketball or football, theres never a dull moment when I am on the sidelines doing what I love. As a captain, I have made sure to bring my strengths of dedication, optimism, discipline and sportsmanship to help drive my team to success. Some of my accomplishments in cheer include 2x All-American (UCA and USA), Pin It Forward recipient, and jump off champ. I have also been giving staff applications at cheer camp. Therefore, I am considering applying for NCA staff, where I can continue my passion along with college cheer.
Behind my cheer background, I'm part of a military family. I strongly believe this has shaped my to who I am today. Moving and living in many different places has taught me to adapt easily to new things very quickly. I had a passion for gymnastics ever since I could walk. I did gymnastics for a few years while living on Guam. As I moved to Alaska, I discovered an intrest towards dance. After joining a competitive dance team at 10 years old, I began to notice I loved acro. Therefore, I wanted something more to do with tumbling, but not gymnastics again. My family and I eventually moved back to Texas, where I began to teach myself how to tumble. I got into school cheer in 7th grade and have obsessed over it ever since. Now, I want to take all my hard work and dedication into the collegiate level.
