As a student and an athlete in college I always strive to put my best work forward and then some more. I always want to look back on my work and be proud of what I did knowing that I put the most effort possible into it. I believe I would be a beneficial member to any college for my academics and athletics because of my unmatched work ethic, and positive and determined attitude. When I am assigned something to do I want to get it done promptly and with pride knowing others can see my work. For 17 years I have been a dancer (studio, high school dance major, dance team, college club), and for 15 years I have been a competitive cheerleader (football, basketball, competition, middle school, high school, and college cheer) 7 years of gymnastics and martial arts! I was the choreographer for Brookdale Community College cheer teams and dance club for the past two years, the merchandise designer, and other events planned for the team. As a dancer for 17 years, I had many experiences from my dance studio, and high school as a dance major and dance team captain with choreographing my own pieces, costumes, staging, lighting, dancing on Broadway, international television and even dancing with the Rockets on their own stage. For my cheerleading athletics over the past 15 years, I have had the pleasure of cheering on multiple teams, competing nationally (1st place champions), cheering against other NJCAA schools, main choreographer, power tumbler, main/side base, flyer, and back spot experience. My martial arts career started at a young at the YMCA, then later at a dojo where I would earn my orange belt skipping over my yellow belt due to advanced adult class placement as a 12-year-old with all 8th-degree black belt adults and continues now at Brookdale Community College Mixed Martial Arts club. My gymnastics background was first started at the Hazlet Recreational Gymnastics program where I would learn all four main events and go up to level 3, later on, I continued my gymnastics career at the famous Monmouth Gymnastics Academy where I learned more advanced tricks and reached higher levels. All of my athletic abilities started when I was first put into all the sports, pushed by my family and friends to reach my best potential, and always keep faith in God, myself, and those around me, training me in that mindset at an early age. As I had a lot of collegiate experience at Brookdale Community College with academics and athletics I believe I am prepared to take my experiences to the next colleges! With a major part of my academic career being shared with athletics I have had to adapt to a good academic-athletic schedule learning to accomplish all of my work in a timely and fair manner. Having to learn at a young age how to balance scheduling correctly has been something I've been incorporating for a long time. I am in 5 clubs, a cheerleading team, and over the full-time student credit level at my college, Brookdale Community College. I build in time to allow myself to go to the library or designated buildings to get work done where assistance per class is located if necessary. I am an upbeat, bubbly, passionate, positive person who loves to see the good in things, strong religious values- my Christianity, knowing what needs to be done and the most efficient way to accomplish something. Always pushing myself to try harder, having the passion it takes to reach the next level for myself, and helping others around me, make me an excellent team player, while learning where I need to grow from the help from others and coaches knowing I can do better all the time! With skills like mine, I will benefit any college positively because I am a motivator for myself and those around me!
