I was a gymnast for 8 years, and at 10 I became interested in cheerleading because I have greatly enjoyed tumbling and was very loud. I was the kid who had no idea what they were doing, but could still keep up every stunt and catch every fall. Throughout the years I continued to tumble and cheer and learn proper form and technique. My love for the sport led me to coach at Carolina Flipz as a gymnastics, cheer, and ninja warrior instructor. I have become the one to teach other children how to love the sport and have/use proper technique. Cheerleading has taught me how to be a leader, speak up for myself and others, have determination, and how to work with everyone. Last year, I started getting called Mama A from my cheer team, because I cheer everyone on and am there for others whenever they need me. I am currently on my twelfth season of cheer and cannot wait for more.
For the past year, I have had the honor of being dual enrolled at Central Piedmont Community College. I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa. I plan on earning my associate’s in Business Administration after graduating high school and then transferring to a University in 2023. My ultimate goal is to start my own business where I upcycle and resell apparel, keeping sustainability in mind. I strive to be the best I can be and am thrilled at any learning opportunity.
