Hi! My name is Sophia, I cheer in South Carolina and I am a base and back spot. I love the sport of Cheerleading because it is a great environment and I've made many friendships, relationships and life skills through this sport. My dreams are to become someone important to the cheer world and be successful. I have a hard work ethic, but I get frustrated when I'm not perfect. I have cheered for the past 8 years of my life, I have done both All-Star and School cheer (spirit and Competition). I am a hard worker, team player, and passionate about the sport. I went through a rough patch when I was about 10 or 11, my cheer gym had a coach that was not good for us as athletes and it personally hurt me mentally. Once that coach left, I started to love cheer again and I started progressing in tumbling and stunting instead of going backwards. I have really good grades, and I want to go to college for athletic training and become a sports medicine tech at my high school. Fun fact, I used to be on the same team as Jordan Avery (SSX 2024 Senior). This past season I was on the Cane Bay High School Junior Varsity team. In the upcoming season I hope to be on Varsity, but in the end it is up to my amazing coaches and God. These teams will help and prepare me for my future In life and Cheerleading is coaching me to be a better athlete, friend, student, and person. I try my hardest in everything, but sometimes I just can't anymore. I owe a lot of my skills to my previous all star coaches and gym owners, they made me who I am today. I'm a good person and a good kid but I talk a lot, especially if I'm into the topic. I believe strongly that everyone can be great in everything they do, they just need to put in the work, time, and effort. I believe i will be a good attribute to your program because of my work ethic, sportsmanship, and overall great personality.
Thank you for taking your time to read this, much love and thanks, Sophia Odom.
