All my life I have been unknowingly preparing for cheer, beginning with ballet for seven years. I was competing at a national level at the age of 11. At the same time, I was doing gymnastics and winning regional championships every year. I decided to switch to cheer because it was the perfect combination of both sports. I've been doing cheer for three years, club and high school. I've been an all district and varsity cheerleader all three years, and received the district cheerleader of the year award this year. I first started allstar cheer in middle school, however, I decided I wanted to focus on high school cheer. I am very passionate about cheerleading not only for the sport, but for the amazingly strong bonds you create with your teammates, and the life long skills I learned throughout the year such as promptness, leadership, and being able to take constructive criticism and apply it to my skills. I want to continue my passion into college, in hopes of being a uplifting teammate and an aspiring athlete.
