I'm looking at colleges based on my desired major in nursing and wish to continue to play field hockey.  I've loved the sport ever since middle school, but it truly became a big part of my life in high school.  I hope to find a college in which I can continue my field hockey career and at the same time study nursing which I have always been passionate about.

My sophomore year was my first year on varsity and we were able to win a state championship.  Playing at the varsity level truly helped me strengthen my skills and become a more competitive player.  I'm always looking to improve my game not only for myself, but to also help challenge my team.  I feel that being a goalie gives me the opportunity to work with many different players in various positions and with various skills.  Along with field hockey, my schoolwork is very important to me.  Throughout high school I have managed to achieve high honors every quarter even while playing a varsity sport.  I'm able to balance my schedule to maximize both my playing opportunities and my studying.
