Isabel Sanchez '20 Recruiting Profile

My passion for field hockey grew from playing floor hockey in PE in middle school and since then I was craving to play on a high school team.  I finally did! I was so happy. I've played sports all my life a bunch of them but I never stuck with them or had a passion as I do for Field Hockey. Since freshman year my push to be better and the fight I give to get to the ball has grown immensely and it continues to grow. I would be so grateful and happy to be on a team in college and play at a new level which I believe I'm ready for. Senior year I really pushed myself in every game mentally and physically and left it out on the field which is something I love to do. During tryouts this year we had to do 24 sprints and on my 25th I pulled back and realized everyone was already on the end line. I always look back to that moment because I want to continue putting that same effort from that day onto the field wherever it may be. Academically I've come very far and still have yet to reach my potential. I had a tough Sophomore year but really worked hard and pulled it together Junior and Senior year which I am very proud of. I think academically and athletically I have grown but I want to keep pushing myself in a bigger atmosphere like college. I'm ready for the commitment.
