Personal Statement
It is my goal to attend a college or university that is competitive both academically and athletically. My aspiration is to be able to play field hockey at the highest level I can.
What sets me apart from other recruits is that I take nothing for granted. I take pride in how hard I work both on the field and in the classroom. I don’t make excuses, expect or assume anything, but rather know that in order to succeed or get to where I want to be that I always need to give it my all.
Field hockey is such an influential and important part of my life. Every moment that I am on the field whether in practice or during a game, I strive to improve my individual skills so that my contribution to the team will matter.
I feel grateful that I have had the opportunity as a Freshman and Sophomore to be a part of our High School Varsity team. I consider my teammates and coaches from high school and club part of my extended family and have great respect for them.
I enjoy challenging myself with new opportunities and being involved in various after-school activities. I have been an apprentice at Ambler Farm for five years, assisted coaching and buddy with youth field hockey, a CIT (Counselor in Training) at day camp and an acolyte and volunteer at our church. I was able to study field biology and work on my Spanish at a Summer program in Costa Rica.
I look forward to being an active member of the College or University that is the best fit for me!
