I was introduced to the sport of field hockey at the age of 10 through an after school recreational program. I immediately fell in love with the game and knew it was something that I wanted to continue to play. Being one of the smaller players on the field I have learned to utilize my speed, aggressiveness and game sense to excel on a daily basis. My parents taught me early in life that the only things you can control is your effort and attitude. Believing in this, I give maximum effort on the field and in the classroom as well as a positive attitude at all times.
Academics are a high priority for me and I have enjoyed learning to manage my time between the classroom and field hockey activities. I currently have a 4.3 GPA and am ranked 5th in my class. As I look forward to the next level, attending a school that places a high priority on academics is very important.
I have had many highlights in field hockey thus far that are listed in my profile but the one I am most proud of is winning the Delaware State Championship in 2016 with my high school team. This was not only the first state championship for field hockey at our school but the first female state championship for any sport in school history.
I am looking forward to continuing my education and playing field hockey at a top rated college or university while being able to excel as a student-athlete.
