Playing field hockey in college to me is a goal I've had since my freshman year. I started playing in middle school, but when I played for the first time in high school I really fell in love with it. I found that I loved the people, the physicality, the memories, and most of all the game.
I want to play in college so that I can keep playing at a highly competitive level, while still getting a good education. I want to be the best player I can be on and off the field. Keeping competition in my life is very important to me because I see where it has taken me today. My ability to figure out my and others' weaknesses, seek out help, and improve my skills have all come from having competitive field hockey in my life, and I want to continue that. I'm a good candidate because I work as hard as I can, I am very susceptible to feedback, and am willing to do what it takes. I also have lots of leadership experience on and off the field.
My high school team is a newer program this provides me with more opertunies to play and practice. I also have learned a lot about how to work with other people. Since our team is smaller I work with everyone, it has taught me about trust and how to play with people I may not be very fond of. I am able to put differences and feelings aside to play together. I work on and off the field as hard as I can and am always open for extra shots or practice. Along with that in school, I utilize the time I have, if I need help I meet with my teachers in the morning or during lunch. I try my best to get all A's every semester, and if I don't have an A in a class that is one of my first priorities when at home. Overall I am very dependable, and passionate, and will also bring fun and hard work into anything I do.
