Personal Statement
My name is Hannah Riddle and I have been playing field hockey since I was 8 years old. My first experience was a YMCA league were I absolutely fell in love with the game. My goal is to play Division 1 field hockey at a college that challenges me both academically and athletically. I have consistently been on a national level travel team for my club, participate in Level 1 Futures, and continually work on my strength, speed, and agility as a player. As a freshmen I made the varsity team for my high school where I was a key contributor both on and off the field. I was selected to take two stroke shots (made both) in double overtime during the semi-finals of the state championship game to help my team to the finals, where we ultimately won the KHSAA State Championship. This year as a sophomore I am starting varsity as center back where I am able to use my calm, confident demeanor and ability to see the field to lead my team defensively. I continue to participate as a shooter on offensive corners and am the third highest scorer on my team this season. I am highly motivated and will continue to work hard to reach my goal of playing Division 1 field hockey and am looking forward to growing my game.
