Personal Statement
My name is Faith Tillotson, I am a goal-driven person who loves to work hard and see results from my efforts. I've been an athlete since I was three years old starting with Soccer. Most of my younger years were spent in Gymnastics where I was a competitive gymnast and worked hard training in the gym for countless hours reaching level 7 in 6th grade. It is through Gymnastics that I realized that I liked to work out, see results, and train my body hard to compete. I started field hockey in 4th grade because I went to a girls varsity game at Thornton Academy which is the high school that I am now in. By the time I got to play Field Hockey in middle school, I chose to focus on that sport and retired from Gymnastics when I was in 6th grade. Field Hockey is my passion, I immediately chose to join a club so I could work on my skills as well as have the opportunity to play year-round. Throughout the year I'm either on the school Field Hockey team or club team and also play spring Lacrosse to keep myself conditioned. I like to stay busy. The club I joined is Coastal Field Hockey and I have played with the best girls from the state of Maine who have also been as driven as I am which has helped me push myself and become the best I can be and continue to grow.
I approach my education in the same way as sports. I've never shied away from taking the harder classes and pushing myself. It's important for me to study as hard as I play sports and achieving high grades is just as important as having a successful sports season. I have also strived to be that high honor roll, straight-A student, and have always pushed through the obsticals that have come my way with the academics.
I look forward to extend my hard-work ethics beyond high school.
