Zara Memon '18 Recruiting Profile

Hi everyone! My name is Zara Memon, and I am currently a Junior at Whitman High school in Bethesda, Maryland! I play on my club team Freedom as well as being a starter on my HS team. Athletically, I love field hockey more than anything and aspire to reach the highest level of hockey possible. I have been selected to train at the level one futures site, and have also competed in many national tournaments such as NCC's, NIT's, Festival, Disney, and more. But more than anything, I love the game and it would be a dream come true to play in college. On the field I am a positive person, one who encourages her teammates and always pushes them and myself to succeed. I try to bring strong technical skills as well as great game awareness to the field, while always having a good attitude. 

Academically, I'm very invested in school and it plays a big role in my recruiting process. I plan on majoring in Biology or pre-med and hopefully becoming a doctor someday! In order to do this, I take all AP and honors classes, but do well because they are things that I am passionate about. My high school is extremely rigorous and field hockey has always been an outlet from this stress.
