Personal Statement
As a 6th grader I walked off the field saying I didn't wanna play again because everyone else on the team had played for years and understood the rules, but I just felt behind. I kept on going to practices and games, soon I started to grasp the concepts and started to form a passion and love for playing field hockey. From there on out I promised myself I would practice and do anything I could to improve my skill. With the help of my coaches and determination I am now shaped into the passionate, coachable, and diligent player I am today. Throughout my years of field hockey I have played all positions, making me a very versatile player and striving to contribute any role to my team I can. Whether I am on or off the field I continue to have a strong work-ethic to complete my goals to the best of my ability.
Although athletics are very important to me, I have also always strived to succeed in the classroom. I have stayed on honor roll throughout my middle school and high school career. Challenging myself both on the field and in the classroom, is very important to me. In college I would like to take part in a program that is both athletically and educationally challenging. I would also like to go to a college with a pre-med program, because my goal is to become an anesthesiologist. I believe my dedication and strong drive can contribute greatly to a program with strong athletics and education.
