My name is Gia Buckley and I am a student at Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro, Massachusetts. As a freshman, my journey on the varsity field hockey team has been both challenging and rewarding, filled with moments that have shaped who I am as an athlete and a person. Our team was ranked as one of the top teams in the state. My coach and teammates pushed me to improve every day. My involvement in a club team and being a distance runner on varsity spring track highlight my dedication to fitness and mental toughness. Running has always been a passion of mine, complementing my field hockey training by enhancing my endurance and focus.
As a part of my academics at Bishop Feehan, I strive to be in the highest-level classes and always do my best. My grades are most important to me. Balancing academics with my athletic commitments has taught me valuable time management skills.
Off the field, I am deeply committed to my family, friends, school, and my faith. These values shape my approach to both life and sports, driving me to be a supportive team player and a good person. Cheering on my teammates and fostering a positive environment is something I am passionate about, and I believe a team's strength lies in its unity. Looking ahead, I am excited about the prospect of continuing my field hockey journey at the collegiate level, where I can bring my passion, skills, and unyielding team spirit to a new team and continue to grow as an athlete and individual.
