I started my field hockey career in seventh grade, and from the start I loved it. Having played ice hockey since I was seven, the transition to field hockey was easy. I made JV my freshman year, but decided to play junior women’s ice hockey with the Boston Shamrocks. Being the Captain of an elite travel team like the Shamrocks, I learned about leadership and how to be a good teammate. I brought these characteristics back to Reading’s field hockey program my sophomore year where I made Varsity and played as a starter on defense. This current season, I am also a starter on the Varsity team, but this year as a midfield. I also play for the club team, Lead the Way, which has greatly helped me develop as a player. I am a strong, dedicated, and hardworking teammate. I am always the first on the field and the last off. I run to every drill, I cheer on my teammates, and I never give up. Sports have always been a major part of my life, and I hope to continue my field hockey career in college!
