Personal Statement

I want to introduce myself to the field hockey world, my name is Sarah Huffman. I'm a goalie with Fer De Lance FHC, and I play at Pioneer High in Ann Arbor Michigan.

I'm a motivated student, for the game and in the classroom. I currently have a 3.89 GPA this year, along with being in the cosmetology program, which I'll graduate with my high school diploma, my State of Michigan Cosmetology License, and I work a part time job. The reason I'm telling you this is because I'm self-motivated, driven women and I want to show you and my community that I'm a leader! And maybe my parents as well.... hee hee..

I recently realized I wasn't developing fast enough in my goalie skills, and I asked my parents if they would help me find a new goalie coach. We were able to find a new coach, but he lives 5 hours from my hometown. But I'm so motivated to get better, that I'm paying for all my own training sessions! And so, fare it’s made a huge difference!

In conclusion, no matter what school I attend I know, what I bring to the program will be my all on and off the field!
