Payton Doan '19 Recruiting Profile

I am a field hockey goalkeeper from Chelsea, MI. I have started on the Chelsea Varsity Field Hockey team since freshman year and have been named to First Team All State for the 2015, 2016 and 2017 seasons, as well as being named to the All Region Midwest team in 2016. I have also played with Pinnacle Field Hockey since seventh grade. I have many leadership roles on both my travel and high school team, and am two time caption for Chelsea High School Field Hockey. I have a 3.97 unweighted GPA and a 31 composite ACT score.

I am looking for an institution that has both a high caliber of academics as well as athletics. I am more than willing to travel far outside of my comfort zone, and in fact, outside of Michigan to attend the college perfect for me. Although I am not positive on what area I would like to specialize in academically, my interests include Law, Business or English. I believe that with my leadership skills, strong athletic abilities as a keeper, and academic achievements, I will be very beneficial to any college field hockey team, regardless of the division or location.
