I love being a student-athlete and competing on and off the field. My goal is to always be a leader on the field during games, practices and warmups. It is important to me to be a great teammate and help my team win. I started playing field hockey at the age of five at the Gateway Field Hockey club and fell in love. When I was in the third grade I had the opportunity to start competing on the top team at Gateway and I never looked back. From that moment on I have continued to work very hard and have been fortunate enough to stay on the top team in my age group.
Being an athlete and field hockey player has given me many opportunities. I work hard and have been able to compete at the highest levels of club competition that this country offers. Our Gateway team, which is ranked 6th in the country, is consistently competing in tournaments. We play at the USA tournament in Disney and the Festival tournament each year. We have also been fortunate enough to compete in the USA Club Championship tournament the past couple years against the other top teams in the country. Individually I have been fortunate to be a member of USA Field Hockey and have been invited the compete in the Nexus Championship combine twice so far. I have also been named to the Max Field Hockey list of top 100 in the class of 2024 to watch. In my freshman year playing with my St. Jospeh's Academy field hockey team, I was a starting player on varsity and was rewarded with a conference honorable mention award. Overall, my hard work an perseverance has been paying off. Now as a sophomore, I hope to help lead our varsity team to the state play offs.
I always try to bring the same effort to school as I do with sports. Academically I attend St. Josephs Academy and am very excited to be here. I currently carry a GPA of 3.68 out of 4.00. While being a good student is important, I also like to get involved. I am a member of the Student Council, the Diversity Club and am a student ambassador all of which keeps me busy. Attending a Catholic also school gives me the opportunity to serve the community I live in by doing service projects. Feeding the poor at St. Peter and Paul's and donating clothes to the homeless are just a few of many things I will be doing while at St. Joe's. It is important to me to not only be a good athlete and field hockey player but a good student and member of our world we all share. Thank you for reading and I look forward to hopefully hearing from you.
