Lizzie DeLello '26 Recruiting Profile

I started field hockey in 6th grade as there were no school teams when I was younger than that. Field hockey has been a happy place of mine where I have found the most joy in the sport, the people and the coaches. I am so fortunate to have the program I do at my high school as I have grown an incredible amount through the help of my teammates and coaches. I am someone who is a team player, not doing everything for my benefit but for the team’s benefit as a whole. I am a very approachable person and good communicator which makes it easier on and off the field. I am a strong character as I went through multiple hip surgeries trying to correct my hip from something I was born with to then tearing my acl but bouncing back stronger than ever. Fall is my favorite season because I know that means it’s all field hockey season and I get to play my heart out in games, practices and in my own time. I am very determined to always find ways to improve my skills and I am always very excited for when it’s time for field hockey to fill my schedule.
