Kiersten Heverly '27 Recruiting Profile

I am a versatile, team player, as I mainly play midfielder for outdoor field hockey but also play as defensive player for indoor field hockey. I play field hockey year-round, as I play for my high school team, and then winter indoor along with spring outdoor with my club team Krossfire. My freshman year of high school I was the only freshman awarded a Varsity letter. In addition, my freshman year, I was nominated as Rookie of the Year for all freshman female athletes at my high school. I also remain academic excellence with a GPA of 3.6 in all accelerated classes resulting in 1st and 2nd Honors. I do pride myself on my ability to see the field, as I do not focus on my individual statistics, which results in my ability to make opportunities happen to better my team. I also frequently draw corners offensively in critical times of play. I am devoted athlete who plays a smart level of play which I believe comes from my passion for the sport of field hockey. One of my favorite qualities regarding myself is I am coachable athlete who is extremely respectful. I have a strong belief in always demonstrating these characteristics not just on the field but also in the classroom as this makes me a better athlete and student.
