I have been playing field hockey since second grade, and in a way, field hockey has raised me. From starting out with my mom as my town coach, to high school and club, I am not sure what I would do without this sport. It has taught me perseverance, strength, determination, and the value of hard work. When I step on the field, I can just play, and nothing else matters; it is a form of therapy in a way. Despite all the early mornings, hot summer training days, and long practices after school, my love for field hockey has remained strong. I would love to continue to have field hockey in my life by playing in college.
