Personal Statement

I have been playing Field Hockey for ten years, and it has played such an extraordinary role in my life. It has gifted me with some of my best friends, and an outgoing personality that would not be the same otherwise. My coaches have always been strict about us being well-mannered. They have always stressed the idea that no matter how skilled you are, it goes to waste if you are not well-mannered. As a result, I have been built into an outgoing team player, with motivation through the roof and a strong desire for what's best for the team, rather than the individual. I cannot imagine my hockey career ending after high school; I want to continue playing at a high level for as long as I can.
