I have always been involved in sports since I was four years old, and I have always enjoyed sports. However, when I started playing field hockey in 7th grade, I immediately fell in love and felt at home! After two years of playing recreation leagues, I joined a club team when I started my high school career. I play year round with my club team as well as playing on my high school varsity team since freshman year. I have been blessed to play with amazing players and teammates, as well as be coached by amazing coaches. My coaches and my teammates have pushed me to be the best player I can be, on and off the field.
Before I was in high school, I set a goal for myself to make my varsity high school field hockey team in my freshman year. Once that goal was set I involved myself in every clinic and camp that was available to me. I took what I learned and practiced every week leading up to my freshman preseason. I was so excited when I made the varsity team my freshman year. It was at that moment, and joining club hockey that helped me to decide I want to play at the collegiate level. I work hard and train harder. I continue to challenge myself and train year round to advance my skill set. I consider myself to be very coachable and I take the input and commentary from my coaches and work to be the best I can be.
I am looking forward to playing at an institution that will not only challenge me physically, but also academically; and that can help me be the very best student-athlete possible.
