I fell in love with field hockey in 5 grade, from that day on it has been my passion. I am a positive leader and determined to accomplish goals that I sat for myself. No matter what I will always pour my heart out on the field and never give up. Being captain this year I learned a lot of skills, that I can bring along with me to any team. For example, in the state semifinals against West Essex our team was getting pound. Although the final score was an improvement from last year versing them, we still lost by a lot. During our huddle I told the team to not look at this in a negative way, but the positive side of the progress we made from playing them the previous year. Even though the score did not show it we played like we never did before and that's the point I had to prove to the team. Plus I handle my academics, by receiving Honor every marking period since freshman: my grades are high B's and A's. I am involved with community service and peer counseling. During the weekends I work at a Diner, waitressing. I feel like it is very important to stay busy and focused on your goals, while being a well rounded person.
