I'm Ava Glick and I'm a student at Commack High School in the class of 2024. I started playing field hockey about 5 years ago and fell in love with the sport ever since I started. I played on my middle school team for two years and then played on my high school's varsity team my freshman year. I attended the National Indoor Tournament in February 2020 with Long Island Field Hockey's U16 team. I am also playing on Long Island Field Hockey's U16 team in spring 2021. I am a very hard worker and being a team player is important to me. I believe that a team needs to work together and be cohesive to succeed. I am always willing to help my team or teammate when they need it and am a loyal teammate.
My academics are as important to me as my athletics and I have maintained a 99.0 GPA since the start of middle school. Currently, in 9th grade, I'm taking Honors Biology, Honors Geometry, and the first year of AP World History. I also participate in many extracurriculars including playing the clarinet for 6 years, the piano for 10 years, being in B'nai Brith Youth Organization (BBYO), and being in multiple clubs in school. I am not only an athlete but a scholar and a musician. I am well-rounded and excel in numerous subjects and areas of interest.
