January 2019 Making Varsity Tennis at the age of 11 as a 7th Grader, and winning the team County Championship a year later, made me appreciate the importance of a team and how we play for the good of the team. Varsity also helped me realize that while I am highly competitive as an individual, it’s the team which comes first.
Although I focus most of my non-school time on tennis, I love playing basketball and soccer and enjoy playing the piano and cello. Tennis, in particular, has kept me focused, healthy and active, and has taught me to appreciate my family and coaches who have provided me with the support and training in order to continue to excel. Plain and simple, I want to be a student athlete who prizes my education as much as my tennis.
