Personal Statement

I started playing field hockey in the 4th grade and since then have loved the team comradery, competition, fun and challenges of the game.  My goal is to be able to play the sport I love at the collegiate level while also getting a great education.

Because of my love for the game, I am very driven, hard working and focused on becoming the best field hockey player I can be. However, the best part about that is when you love something, it doesn't feel like work.  I truly enjoy my time on the turf, both in practices and games.

I have been fortunate to work with great coaches at my high school, my club and within USAFH, who have inspired and challenged me in so many ways.  I think being an athlete also helps my focus and success in other areas like academics and piano not to mention how much it has taught me about being a leader, role model and how to work with others to achieve a goal.

I feel that my accomplishments thus far are a direct reflection of my passion for the game and I know that with hard work I will be able to reach  more of my goals in the future.
