Abigail Kresser '23 Recruiting Profile

I started playing sports at a very young age to find that field hockey was my absolute favorite (age 8).  Ever since then I can not get enough of the sport and have continued to play ever since.  I started  with a local youth program and participated and continue to participate in several camps, clinics and winter leagues.  I belong to ADK and Cross River Combo club teams, which will lead me to tournaments and will help further develop my skills and passion for the sport.

In seventh and eighth grade I played on the JV team for the Kingston City School District and in 9th, 10th and 11th grades have played on the varsity team.  I am very fortunate to play for the Kingston City School District as for we have won 14 consecutive Section 9, Class A championships. Playing with such a strong team has allowed me to become a more powerful, aggressive player.

Every day I strive to get stronger, play smarter and become a better player.  I am interested in taking my field hockey to the collegiate level.  I am looking for a program that will challenge me academically and athletically.  My passion and competitive edge in addition with the need to succeed would make me a great addition to your team!
