Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Alyssa Bathrick, and I will be graduating in the class of 2023. I am the starting goalkeeper for Stissing Mountain Junior-Senior High School Field Hockey. So far in the 2021 season, I've had 7 shutouts and 87 saves for an 89% save rate.

My defender skills are solid with a go-getter attitude.  My ambition is to improve as a field hockey goalie. I thrive to keep the ball out of the net. Any way I can improve on that, I’m for it. Always trying to improve keeps me motivated. Everything I do is for my teammates. If I can inspire and encourage my teammates, I've accomplished one of my goals.

I like being a goalie because can easily encourage my teammates from the goal.  I can see everything going on from the goal, it's easy for me to cheer on each one of my teammates. I can also tell them when someone is open, as well as when someone is closing in on them when they have the ball. Help them navigate through the traffic.

I am looking to play my passion of field hockey at the collegiate level; while getting the best education for my career choice of accounting.

I’m good at multitasking. I have maintained an honor roll average; while participating in extracurricular activities.  Activities include Field hockey, softball, FFA, and Key Club.  I also volunteer with Rebuilding Together Dutchess  County.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
