Above are two links to articles in which I've been a goalie during a game that has gone into overtime. I think it shows that I do not give up. Although we didn't beat Northwestern in overtime, I held strong for the entire game and did my best to keep every ball out. When I was only a sophomore in 2017 (the article mistakenly called me a junior) I had a 17 save shutout against Bangor on their home field on their senior night. My team had two shots on goal, the second one being a goal scored in overtime. I have had made that many saves in a game before, but never have I had a shutout that high. I took responsibility that day. The other goalie had just gotten injured and I was told that day I had to fill in. The amount I cared about my team and doing the best I could for them is what made me perform that day. It was for them. Field hockey has always been a home to me, and I value the bonds I form with my teammates.
