Personal Statement

My name is Tula Reihman and I am a junior at Salisbury High School. Throughout my life I have played many sports and participated in many activities. I have loved volleyball since the first time I played it. I hope to study psychology in college and play Volleyball with a supportive, competitive team. I find joy in so many different parts of my life, such as dancing, singing, and creating many different types of art, and i hope to pursue these things throughout the rest of my education. I hope to grow as a person both on and off the court through my college experience so i can leave this world a better place than I found it.

I discovered volleyball in August 2020. At the time, there were few locations offering open gyms in which I could develop my skills. Synergy was one of them. I attended twice weekly open gyms and three tournaments here before joining my local club team in October 2020.

As soon as I discovered I'd found "my sport," I asked my parents to find me a personal coach. I had a lot of catching up to do, and Kristin Krause offered to help me develop my hitting, blocking, passing skills, my approach, and also explained the game to me.
