Hi, I am Ava Masorti. I started playing field hockey in Kindergarten in the Lower Dauphin Youth Field Hockey program. Our High School is steeped in tradition when it comes to field hockey. When I was in sixth grade, I decided to dedicate more focus on the sport. I joined The Nook and played for them for two years before moving to my current club (PA Revolution FHC). My club experience with the PA Revolution has helped me grow as a player and has afforded me the opportunities to play in different venues across the U.S. I am willing to play any position that the team needs, however have focused mainly on defense and midfield. I thrive on the field by being a team player. I communicate well especially from my defensive position. I am receptive to instruction by my coaches and long to learn the game from a playing and strategic standpoint.
I also strive for high academic standards. I do not settle for satisfactory and want to maintain my distinguished honors throughout my high school career. I wish to parlay my academic success into pursuing a college degree in the field of psychology. Ultimately working in the field of either school psychology or criminal psychology.
I wish to stride towards my goals of academia while keeping my love of field hockey alive by playing at the intercollegiate level.
