My field hockey journey began in the 7th grade. Before this, I didn't even know entirely what field hockey was; I was a soccer player, and my future field hockey coach was the first person to believe in me. She said I should try being a field hockey goalie and I would be a natural. But, I didn't want to just give up on playing soccer, so I play both at the same time. It was definitely difficult and after that year I realized how much I loved field hockey and I continued to play.
Fast forward 4 years and I am in my junior year of high school still playing the game I love at Wyoming Seminary hoping to win a 4th straight state championship. I love field hockey because it makes me a part of something bigger than myself and I feel like I am a part of another family that I love and grow with for the next 4 years of my life. And that's why I would love to play in college because for another 4 years I will get to make so many more friends and form a new bond with so many great players.
