Kaitlin McGuffin '26 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing field hockey for the past 6 years, starting in 5th grade. I am currently a junior on Varsity. I have always loved the sport since. I played JV for my first two years if high school, then moved up to Varsity my Junior year. My school team is small  having  a wide spread amount of skill level, but we have a positive outlook on ever game, win or lose. That is what made me fall in love with field hockey, at our school field hockey is consider the best sport with team sportsmanship, due to our consistent positive energy and team bonding. During games I always take back things I could improve on. I practice the skills I think I need to improve on, whether that is in our school practices, clinics or just on my own on our turf. Being a forward on the team I have to bring my all, I also have to bring passion, determination, quick decision making skills and a drive to be the best I can be.
