I started playing field hockey my freshman year of high school. In eighth grade I remember a few of the girls on the team coming to my middle school, and once they explained to me what it was, I already knew I wanted to play, and signed up that day. Freshman year I started off by playing defense, and during an away game made my first goal. I was lucky to play under such a large group of seniors my first year, and they taught me how a team should all work together to get to our final goal. Sophomore year however, I decided to play goaltender. Field hockey has taught me so much, and has become my main drive for school, and my motivation to succeed. To me field hockey is more than just a game, it’s one of the many things I’m passionate about.
