Emma Clements '23 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a Junior attending Fredericksburg Academy in Spotsylvania, VA who has a passion for field hockey! I am a student-athlete looking for a college where I can balance my academics dreams of becoming a Biomedical Engineer, along with my athletic dreams of becoming a college field hockey goalkeeper. I understand what it means to not only be a team player but a great leader that knows how to make a change for the better of my team. To be a great leader, one must encourage their fellow teammates on and off the field in a positive, uplifting way. They must also not be afraid to be the first to take charge and get the team moving. I believe that I am that great leader that hears these statements and puts them into action! I will never think about only myself but what is best for our team. I am confident in everything I do from committing myself to a save in a game to test-taking in the classroom. My competitive edge is what gives me that desire to win which will become infectious to my fellow teammates. I only see myself in college playing field hockey. I promise to any college coach and team I play for in my future that I will push and motivate myself with intensity and be the best goalkeeper I can be, every practice, every game, every day.
