Hi Coaches! My name is Marissa Roskopf and I am a junior at Greendale high school in Wisconsin. I never really knew what Field Hockey Was until my sister started playing in her freshman year of high school. As soon as I got to eighth grade I joined a year round club team and continued playing through my sophomore year of high school because my high school didn’t have a team. My Junior year I got the incredible opportunity to be a varsity starter as a co-op player at Brookfield Academy high school. Joining a high school team has taught me the importance of teamwork and valuing every single member of the team. This season has allowed me to grow as a defender and given me the opportunity to grow in my stick handling skills and speed on the field.
I am a very committed and dedicated player to the sport, to my team, and to my coaches. I play hard and am always looking to improve my skills. My love for the sport continues to grow daily. My biggest ambition for the future while attending college is to excel both academically in the classroom, and athletically on the field. My dedication and commitment to both field hockey and my studies allows me to constantly push myself to improve and embrace the challenges on the way.
Besides field hockey, I keep busy with my job at Target of Franklin where I learn many new communication skills that help me with my teamates and with my coaches during the season. I also spend my time volunteering at Aurora Health care to get exposure working in hospitals. I plan on going to college for nursing and am doing a night school program this coming winter to get my CNA certification to be able to participate in the dual enrollment program for nursing my school provides.
I look forward to updating you about my progress and development with field hockey!
Thank you for your consideration And viewing my NCSA profile,
Marissa Roskopf.
