Personal Statement
Ever since I was a kid I've had a huge group of supporters and role models who have wanted nothing but the best for me and my future. I became interested in football at the age of six, when for the first time I felt the adrenaline rush as the crowd cheered me on. Through the past twelve years of my football career I've learned many life lessons including how to pick myself up when I'm down, how to pick others up when they are down, and to never stop fighting and never give up.
Being a three sport athlete in high school never got in the way of my academics because of the long hours behind the scenes. I am self disciplined in my studies and tracking my grades to reach my goals and expectations. In high school there are many obstacles to overcome including peer pressure, work schedule conflicts, and relationships. With a supporting family and making football my number one priority these obstacles became easier to overcome. If I could describe myself in one word it would be "leader" because I set good examples, I wouldn't ask others to do something I wouldn't do myself, and I'm not afraid to stand up for myself or others.
