I aspire to be a football coach in the future. I know that this requires dedication not only on the field, but first and foremost in the classroom by way of a solid foundation through education, hence maintaining a 3.2 GPA. I have been blessed into a family that instilled the value of education early on in my childhood and still throughout. I have seen my mom overcome obstacles and still manage to complete her degree all the while working and raising myself and my four siblings. It is because of what my family has overcome and my goals for my future that motivate me to do better each and every day both on and off the field, both in the classroom and at home as well as my community.
I have been playing football since I was 6 years old. I have played varsity and have been a starter since my freshmen year. I can play both sides of the ball. I am always working to improve my skills, train harder, and be prepared for whomever is on the other side of the field. I am a team leader and player, ensuring that I do my part to aid in the success of my team. I am coachable. I watch, listen, and learn from what is taught and by my mistakes on the field and work to not repeat those.
I want to attend an institution where there is a strong presence of diversity and a balance of both strong academics as well as athletics. I understand my part in the process and am ready and willing to working hard to get to where I need to be for myself and my family; I am hoping to find the right school that will be the pathway to allow me that opportunity.
Thank you!
