jake harrison '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jake Harrison and I have always loved football.  It parallels my character as an athlete, a student, and a person. As an athlete, I have always enjoyed the aspects of a team sport such as the camaraderie, contributing to something bigger than myself, and the constant competitiveness that drives me to have an edge on my opponent. I carry these same aspects in the classroom where I constantly strive to obtain the highest grade. Both on the field and in the classroom, I try to help better those around me as well as myself. I always want the best for my team whether that is in a game or on a school project. I believe the needs of the group supersede the needs of my own.

Not only do I wish to play at the collegiate level, I also want to receive a college education to help me later in finding a suitable career choice. While I am currently undecided with a major, I am always looking for new career paths of interest. In every aspect of my life I strive to be the best. My main focus has always been on my academics and athletics because those are what matter most to me. I am very fortunate to have family and friends surrounding me with constant love and support. I see furthering my academic and athletic journey at the collegiate level as a way of showing gratitude to them for all their years of help.
