Personal Statement
Our St. Mary’s College High team here in Berkeley, CA, is small so we play wherever our coaches say there is a need. I started at both wide receiver and defensive back my sophomore year, which was my first year on varsity and my second year ever playing organized football. I am a multi-sport athlete (football, basketball, track & field), but my heart and passion are in football. I love everything about it – the physical and mental toughness required, the hard work, and the sense of brotherhood and team. In the classroom, my favorite subject is US history. I love learning facts about key world events, especially during these transformative times in our national narrative.
Not even a pandemic can stop my training, my drive, and my determination to play football and study at the highest level. I have been using the downtime to train on my own and with a couple of local friends/players. Over these next two years, I will continue to get stronger, faster, more agile, and I will hone my football IQ. You will see the results of my hard work in my game film.
When recruiting for the fall of 2022, remember my name: Julian Womack. I will earn your respect. I will be an elite student-athlete and contribute to your team’s future success.
