Hello my name is Carson Estrada, from the time I was 3 years old participating in the running drills on the sidelines of my brothers’ football practices I have aspired to play collegiate football. I started playing officially when I was 7 years of age primarily at the quarterback position, but have played defensive end, wide receiver and kicker over the years. In high school I was a three sport player: football, basketball and tennis. In that time, through hard work and intensity to do well for my teams, I was named 2nd team All League in both Football and Basketball. I was a team leader and a student government class leader, leading by example and encouraging my teammates and classmates whenever possible. As a recruit, I will bring this same work ethic and intensity to any program that should want me as part of their program.
I have worked to give back to the community that has always supported me by volunteering during high school and when I am home on college breaks at the local food pantries, youth sports leagues and camps and working with aspiring football players at my high school Alma Mater.
I currently attend Tabor College and in the classroom, I work hard to maintain a good GPA and to acquire knowledge and the skills needed for my major in Communications and Media.
I am a Redshirt Sophmore at Tabor College training daily to get stronger, faster and more accurate with my arm. I am taking every opportunity I can to improve my skills. I want to transfer to and attend a college where I can push myself both in the classroom and on the football field. I am open to all options and want to find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I know that playing in college is an opportunity of a lifetime and would definitely steer the course of my life in a most positive direction.
I hope to, through all of my collegiate experiences, become a positive role model to my peers, an ambassador for my community and make my family proud.
